The New Book! and Other Exciting Things

After several months of threatening to do so, I’m happy to announce that the second book in The Gilded Cage series, Another’s Audience, will be released on February twenty-first.  In case you’re too lazy to click on the Books page, here’s the cover for you:

Many thanks again to James at for the awesome cover. This is actually the second version; the first was black and white and although the design was great the photo was meh. I picked it, though, so I have no one to blame but myself. I did better this go round.

I have to admit I’ve done very little promotion for Merely Players, but it sells little by little and gets fairly steady Kindle Unlimited page reads. I do suffer from the Curse of Few Reviews, mainly because I refuse to buy them and I’m still new at self-promotion. Those of you who have bought it are going to receive an updated version with the first three chapters of Another’s Audience in the next couple of days. I’ve also slightly revised it due to some continuity errors I discovered while formatting for a different platform. I’m getting my stuff together to promote Another’s Audience, and Merely Players will be coming along for the ride.

I had originally intended for the Gilded Cage books to be a trilogy, but there is an idea for a fourth book that is calling very loudly to me, as well as more sedate ideas for possible spinoffs of different characters. I have other ideas in the pipeline, though, so while the fourth book is a definite the spinoffs (if they happen) will be way down the line.

I’m going to try very hard to update this blog (and Twitter, and Facebook) more regularly. The soon-to-be-ex-job doesn’t officially end until June first, then our move will happen a couple of weeks later, and with everything going on with those I’ve got a lot of balls in the air (MINDS OUT OF THE SEWER KIDS). I do want to thank everyone who’s read or helped out with both books so far–it really means a lot to me. Being an indie author’s been a fun ride so far.
